Thanks for posting the times of the flights by Halcyon Air. Please can you advise how we can book these, particularly to Praia. We are staying in the Riu Karamboa from 14th November with Thomsons. Up until now they are not showing any excursions for Boa Vista on their website.

Many thanks.

Sandra,

the details on booking flighths are on the website and I have posted the link below:

http://www.boavistaexperience.com/beforedeparture/flights.php

you will see that there are many different places where you can book flights, unfortunately both Halcyonair and TACV's websites state that they are currently under construction so it is not possible to book them directly. You can use the telephone numbers on the website which will get you through to the relevant offices.

One word of caution is that the flight timetables change from Sunday 26th October. I am trying to get hold of the new timetables. As soon as I have them I will publish them here.

Regards,

John Dowling

John

Have looked at the Boavistaexperience website as you suggested regarding booking internal flights to other islands which is very helpful. Will wait until the new timetable comes out shortly.

Many thanks.

Sandra

Here are the timetables for November and December

Halcyon Air and TACV are the internal flights the others are the International Flight times. To see where the internal flights are going refer to the flight numbers in the original table posted at the top of this thread.

We emailed Halcyon air before leaving the Uk then paid and picked up our tickets from the office on arrival, could not fault them - didn't even get charged for our extra baggage! you could see by the long que which airline everyone favours now on the island, in short the TACV flight on the same day (sunday) was cancelled probably due to only 2 people checking in!!

I have just visited Daniel Reyes Cape Verdean website and he posted this week:

"yesterday on a visit of the Prime Minister of Cape Verde in Santo Antao, he said that the current 16 weekly international flights to Boa Vista, by the end of the year will become about 40 weekly international flights!"

Time will tell.

Regards

Andre
